Olympic Committees of the Baltic States expressed continuing disapproval and disappointment with the IOC's decision to allow "neutral" athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games and now allowing them to the Opening Ceremony.

The National Olympic Committees of the Baltic States: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania as well as our whole sports communities are horrified by the war that has been going on for two years on the territory of Ukraine.

Jointly once again, we are expressing disagreement with, and disapproval of the International Olympic Committee’s Executive Board’s decision allowing the Individual Neutral Athletes with Russian and Belarussian passport to compete at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

We firmly stand for the National Olympic Committees of the Baltic States previously expressed position and we are truly convinced that they cannot participate in the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 under any circumstances.
